Buffalo Creek Trail Build, May 2-3, 2015
The May 2-3 trail work day is full and we are not accepting new registrations. Please consider volunteering for another weekend event.
WE ARE BACK… and we can’t wait to get started on our 2015 trail building season. We’ll be continuing our work on Little Scraggy trail, the newest trail in Buffalo Creek. Our mission this year is to complete the south and a good portion of the west sides. We provide the tools and guidance so there’s no experience necessary.
We’ll have Kelsey Campground all to ourselves so join us for the weekend, and we will have our usual post-work BBQ with beverages provided by Denver Beer Co. and feel free bring your bike and go for a ride. Guerrilla Gravity, one of our local bike manufacturers, will be joining us for the weekend with their Crush Bus and some demo bikes, so it will be a fun time! This event will be capped at 35 so register soon.
We’ll meet at Kelsey Campground both Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9:00 am (see map). The campground is about 16 miles south on County Road 126 from the intersection of Highway 285. It is past Forest Road 550 and the Little Scraggy trailhead (pay parking lot). Look for the COMBA sign. We will have coffee and light breakfast items available.
Dress in sturdy work clothes including boots, long pants (recommended), work gloves, hat and sunglasses. Remember to bring water, your own lunch, sunscreen and a pack to carry them in. A hydration pack works great for this purpose. If you plan on camping, make sure you have some extra water and food with you. There is no water available at the campground, at this time.
So help us kick off the 2015 season right and come on out and help COMBA continue the construction of Little Scraggy. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Keith Clarke at email@example.com. See you on the 2nd.
