We are back and on Saturday, October 26th, we’ll continue our work on the newest trail in Buffalo Creek. We finished about half of the Kelsey Campground loop on our last work day and our goal is to finish it before the snow flies. Time permitting, we’ll continue north working on the Little Scraggy loop. The main tread is already cut, so our focus will be finishing the trail tread using hand tools. We provide the tools and guidance so there’s no experience necessary.
We’ll have our usual post-work BBQ and feel free to bring your bike and go for a ride.
Pleaseregister so we can plan accordingly and contact you if things should change.
We’ll meet at Kelsey Campground Saturday morning at 9:30 am (see map). The campground is about 16 miles south on County Road 126 from the intersection of Highway 285. It is past Forest Road 550 and the Little Scraggy trailhead (pay parking lot). Look for the COMBA sign. We will have coffee and light breakfast items available.
Dress in sturdy work clothes including boots, long pants (recommended), work gloves, hat and sunglasses. Remember to bring water, your own lunch, sunscreen and a pack to carry them in. A hydration pack works great for this purpose. There is no water available at the campground.
So come on out and help COMBA continue the construction of the newest Buff Creek. trail. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Keith Clarke at email@example.com. See you on the 26th!
