National Public Lands Day - September 29, 2012

Project:

**Thanks to everyone that signed up for this event!! We've had an overwhelming response! Be sure to come ride this section of the CT in the near future to see the handiwork of our volunteer crew!!**

The Colorado Mountain Bike Association (COMBA), adopter of the first segment of the Colorado Trail, invites you to a day of trailwork. With the two year closure of Waterton Canyon over, and a heavy summer season use, it is time to show some love to a small portion of this world renowned trail. We will be tidying up and repairing several sections that need some TLC.

Come be a part of maintaining this classic, well-loved trail this coming September 29th, National Public Lands Day. Work will occur on selected sections between upper Lenny's Rest and just west of Bear Creek.

If you've never participated in a maintenance day, no problem! We'll provide instruction, tools and food, you supply the muscle. We'll meet at the Waterton Cayon parking lot and carpool up the Canyon to the Dam.  If you can assist with carpooling,  please let us know if you're willing to transport volunteers up the Canyon.  Expect a moderate 2 mile hike from the staging area.  We'll carry our tools to and from the work site and you'll have the opportunity to make new friends who share a passion for Colorado's great outdoors.  We'll work for about 4 hours and return.  This event is limited to fifty volunteers and volunteers must 12 years of age or older.

Meeting Location: Waterton Canyon parking lot: from C470, exit at Wadsworth. Go south about 4.5 miles. Turn left on the Waterton Canyon/Roxborough State Park Road. Take your second left into a large parking lot. View a map
