Green Mountain

Every year on National Trails Day, COMBA works with the Lakewood Parks and Recreation for a morning of trail building at Lakewood's premier open space park, Green Mountain.  Through this parternship, COMBA has helped reroute, build and maintain over 10 miles of trail.

Green Mountain is one of the best beginner mountain bike areas in the Denver Metro area, providing miles of smooth singletrack with moderate climbs.  If you want a little more chunk while there, visit the aptly named Box o' Rox trail.

National Trails Day, May 31st

It’s Box O’ Rox time. That’s right, on Saturday, May 31st, COMBA and REI are partnering with Lakewood Regional Parks to show some love for the Box O’ Rox trail on Green Mountain Park. A complete re-route is planned to move the trail out of the wetlands. It’s a lot of work so we’ll need all the help we can get. Tools and guidance are provided and there’s no experience needed.
