Trail Building, Buffalo Creek, Little Scraggy, May 3rd
We’re kicking off COMBA’s 2014 trail building efforts on Saturday, May 3rd, by continuing our work on the newest trail in Buffalo Creek. The main tread has been already machine cut on Little Scraggy loop and our focus will be finishing the trail tread using hand tools. We provide the tools and guidance so there’s no experience necessary. We’ll have our usual post-work BBQ and feel free bring your bike and go for a ride.
Please register so we can plan accordingly and contact you if things should change
>We’ll meet at Kelsey Campground Saturday morning at 9:30 am (see map). The campground is about 16 miles south on County Road 126 from the intersection of Highway 285. It is past Forest Road 550 and the Little Scraggy trailhead (pay parking lot). Look for the COMBA sign. We will have coffee and light breakfast items available.
Dress in sturdy work clothes including boots, long pants (recommended), work gloves, hat and sunglasses. Remember to bring water, your own lunch, sunscreen and a pack to carry them in. A hydration pack works great for this purpose. There is no water available at the campground.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Keith Clarke at firstname.lastname@example.org.
See you on the 3rd!
